Joel's Background:  Joel graduated Salututorian from Bristol-Plymouth Technical School in 1987 with a major in Graphic Arts. 

After 2 years of working at couple of print shops, he obtained work at The Country Press, one of the few print companies at the time that specialized in short-run books and bound galleys for publishing houses, nationwide.  There he operated, maintained, and repaired a book press, collators and platemaker in the pressroom, performed imposition/layout for books, and bindery operations.

In 1999, Joel, along with his wife, Nicole, established Betterway Print, a print brokerage based in Taunton, MA.  From there, the printing of books spread to all manner of business printing.

Branching out, he took his print industry knowledge to the streets, establishing 2 advertising venues:  a coupon venue and placemats at local restaurants.  Both of these are active and expanding. 

Nowadays, beyond the aforementioned brokering and advertising, Betterway Print has a growing website division geared toward good value and professional quality for the small-to-medium-sized business.

Nicole's Background:  Nicole graduated from Oliver Ames in Easton, MA as a member of the Honor Society. 

After 2 years of volunteer work, she obtained a position at Mount Hope Machinery Company, supporting sales to the paper-manufacturing industry.  Nicole was promoted to database support, where she analyzed component configurations for entry into the ERP system.

In 1999, Nicole became Product Specialist for VP Solutions, a Network Consulting Firm in Framingham, MA that provides support for attourneys' servers and databases.  There, she processed server and software configurations for this specialized profession.

Nicole came home for a few years to be a stay-at-home Mom, and in 2006 established Mainspring Enterprises, as a Virtual Assistant.  There she supports marketing administration and technical writing for a web-based health shop that specializes in natural products for the treament of Chron's disease, as well as project work generated by Betterway Print.
